ICC 2009 - Nationals in Nottingham
After months of hard work and training, we completed our National Competition in Nottingham last weekend. The squad put in a lot of hard work and effort and obtained some fantastic results. Details will be posted shortly - please call back!

After lots of hard work training for the competition, we obtained some excellent placings. More details soon!

Well some more fantastic results from the squad achieved at the Regional competition in Newport in Feb 08.

Squad Try-Outs

Try-Outs
being held on 15th September 2007 from 2 - 3.30pm at Central Youth Club (Gym), Ocean Way, Cardiff. If you would like to join the competition squad, please make sure you come along.

This is open to all cheerleaders, from beginner to advanced, regardless of your experience or skill llevel. Everyone who attends will be considered for our competitive squad.

Fab results from both Nationals...

  • Peewee were amazing, first year competing and 2nd place at both!!!!
  • No juniors this year, our usual winners, but making a come back next year!!!
  • Seniors have improved so much, skill level improves every year.
  • Summer Camp had a great turn out... lots of new girls :)
  • Council courses went well, congrats to Sian and Nic
  • Kim was training at David Lloyd this summer again, well done!
  • Good Luck to Leon and Rhi in the big move and new Jobs... we'll miss you..

Yet another fantastic result from the BCA Western classic championships at Newport. Congratulations to everyone who competed.

  • Senior Cheer Advanced - 1st Place

  • Senior Dance Medium - 4th Place
  • PeeWee Cheer Novice/Intermediate - 4th Place

On top of these fantastic results, the squad also won the 'Sportsmanship Award' for the competition!

Well done to all those who came to the 6 hour-long camp day!!  A Fun time had by all. I’ll be seeing you all perform that fast new routine on Sunday! Plus that new pyramid.

There will be no class on Thursday 30th November due to the hall being used for a local Bi-Election. Classes will be running as per normal though the week after

The SMTV appearance has been confirmed for Saturday 4th November. Don't forget to watch the show, which goes out live at 9:25am

Classes have now started back. All new members are welcome - just turn up on a Thursday. We've also been asked if we'd like to appear on SMTV again. A date has not been decided yet, but will be posted on here as soon as it's known.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel the S4C trip due to not enough of the girls being able to definitely go. Hopefully we will be able to arrange something similar for the future. Classes will still be resuming on the 14th.

There has been a slight change with regard to the date for classes starting back. Classes will now resume on Thursday 14th September due to the Cougars being invited by S4C onto a Welsh program called Uned 5. The girls will be filming on September 7th for this. This program is going out live between 5 & 6pm.

The new group pictures have been added to the Photo's section of the website. They have a performance tonight for a special needs group at Ty-Celyn Youth Centre. Also, only one week to go until the appearance on SMTV. Don't forget to tune into it - 9.25am Sat 4th March on ITV.

The Cougars are now members of the British Cheerleading Association (BCA). Check out their website for more information (available from the links page).

Classes have now started back after the Christmas break. Also, arrangements for the appearance on SMTV have now been confirmed. Due to a few complications, the date has had to be moved forward from January. The Cougars will now be appearing on SMTV on March 4th. Don't forget to watch out for them...

The new group photos of the Cougars are on here now in the Photos section. Not all of the girls were present for these, but a new one will be taken in the new year with the whole squad present.

Thursday was also a great success, with the Cougars performing for the first time to an audience,  consisting of family & friends. Thanks very much to all of you who came to watch and well done to all the girls.

The majority of Cougars now have their T-Shirts and their Pom Pons are on order. A group photo will be added to the website soon. Also look out for an appearance on SMTV, hopefully during early January!

Classes have started (Thursday 9th) and run every Thursday. The Photo's section of the website now has some pictures of the demonstration given by the Cardiff Hotshots.

The introductory lesson was given today. Many thanks to everyone who took the time to come and visit. Hopefully you've all had an insight into what cheerleading is all about and we'll see you again in two weeks when the classes begin. Also, many thanks to the Cardiff Hotshots for their time in handing out flyers (even if they were a bit noisy!) and in giving an excellent demonstration.
